We are more than half way through 2012. So, this makes it a good time to see how all things social and SEO are coming together. At the end of last year, it was clear. Some day, search engine rankings were going to be affected by social links. Why is it, in the thick of battle, it seems like nothing happens fast enough. But, when we look back on it, all seems to have happened so fast?
Social Media is Not an Option
In three previous posts we have worked our way through the basic steps of setting up shop online and keeping it all running smoothly. With all of that in place we can now begin to work proactively. Social media is the next step. It begins with the development of pages at the various social portals. Our company provides management services for Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Pinterest. But there may be others that are important to your particular industry. Social Media is a great place to employ teamwork to accomplish all that has to happen consistently, which I will cover below.
If it Were Easy Everybody Would be Doing it!
Report from the Trenches: For over fifteen years, we have been providing an ever increasing smorgasbord of internet marketing services. At first, clients had to “steal” funds from their traditional marketing budget to pay for online efforts. These days, the online marketing budget has become the major portion of the business building budget. Back then, the skeptics didn’t believe in the internet being a viable media. Today, most business owners believe an opportunity exists but who has the time to figure out what works and what doesn’t? The learning curve has increased every year exponentially too. Today, thankfully, we find business owners who have a general understanding of the job at hand on the world wide web. But the main driving fact remains; there is not enough time in the day to get it all done. After all, you still have to run your business like you used to… only now, there are enough time killers lurking about that there is just no way you can get it all done effectively and properly, yourself.
